Snohomish County Music Teachers Association (SCMTA) is a local chapter of Washington State Music Teachers Association (WSMTA). SCMTA is one of the oldest and most active chapters in the state.
The requirements for active membership are as follows:
- Attend at least three general membership meetings on the third Monday of the month.
- Complete 2 points worth of jobs during the year.
- Work 8:00 am to 5:00 pm at Music In Action in May.

Current costs are:
MNTA National dues: $ 65.00
WSMTA State dues: $ 40.00
SCMTA Local dues: $ 20.00
2009-2010 total: $ 125.00
